Moronicity

If it's not one of 'em, it's another.

An alert commenter brings to our attention the latest idiotic prattle coming out of the mouths of Channel Sux's morning crew.

Said commenter reports that linguistically-challenged anchorette Maltard Maddox "mentioned on the morning news [Monday] that it's been 81 years since the death of Martin Luther King Jr."

The commenter continues, asserting that "that’s what makes his march on Washington in 1963 so compelling: The fact that he had been dead for some thirty years when he delivered the 'I Have A Dream' speech."

Preach on, brother.

In another fine Channel Sux misfire, charisma-free reporter Gary Smollen managed to report that an entire Union Pacific locomotive had been stolen when, in fact, only a locomotive motor had been filched. Smollen's folly is chronicled here.

Finally, for those of you who prefer to have your information mishandled by the equine, another alert reader notes that Channel Sux meteorologist Andrea Rich told viewers this past weekend that "we're expecting some fog which is already here."

Can't they put her back in the stable until her next race?

While it's comforting to be reminded that we're not the only ones who notice this crap, it's troubling that no one at SuxNews seems to notice or care.

I can't believe how terrible these folks are and all I do is read about 'em here.

OK on the Thursday night 10p episode of SuxNews, they were commenting on how most of the power outages in Iowa are occurring in 'northwest Iowa.' Last I checked, Carroll & Audobon aren't really in northwestern Iowa. Way to go, team.

You should just start a generalized Six "Mind Boggling Idiocy Of The Day" Viewers could submit their nomination; then the laughs, groans, and eye-rolling could only go on longer. I'll even submit a nomination...
From the confusing, illiterate, and just plain weird six news crawl during The Today Show, a story about the victim in the pedestrian vs. snowplow fatality: "a 28-year-old girl..."

Helio.

Looks like you should apply.

"they're advertising for AN summer intern!"

Maybe it's not so easy.
