Lifeboats

Rumors of a "bloodbath" at Channel 3rd appear to have been greatly exaggerated.

From what we can piece together, the station's news director was let go last week, and a producer resigned as a result.

However, we're told that "morale has never been lower" at the station and that virtually every on-air talent is seeking to leave.

So while there may be hemorrhaging in the station's future, it may be due to an aneurysm rather than an ax.

Maybe this is a side effect from the "Todd Andrews sideburn to hair lenght ratio"?

Ughhh isn't it "great" to see that Jaimie McMustache is back after crapping out her kid? how come she couldn't just leave for good?

We need a new category...Omaha TV Tools. My nominations:

Dave Roberts for trying to interview people in handcuffs in the courthouse hallway.

Andrea Rich for focusing on telling us what to do (walk the dog, run, etc.) instead of focusing on a decent forecast.

I could go on and on...

Jamie...yeah, I've made fun of her wandering eyebrows, but consider that hormone changes that go with pregnancy play havoc with one's hair...'crap out a kid'? Come on. That's uncalled for. The last two weeks of her pregnancy was nothing I'd wish on my worst enemy.

I'd rather see Nadia Singh, but Jamie is nothing to sneeze at.

Awww now don't pick on Todd just because he's been channeling the ghost of Elvis

At least Elvis' sideburns made sense, AND matched his hair length. "O-Five Hundred Andrews" needs a hair cut.

KM3 is like the Kansas City Royals of the Omaha news scene. They have some talent but once they become good they get the heck out. Hopefully Stowell and Seigel at least stay in Omaha. All the other decent talent is long gone from this station. The weekend show is all they have. Sad.

I still can't believe they got rid of Peterson...

Your facts are off. The producer didn't quit in responce to the firing of the news director, but rather in relation to the "low moral". She was tired of the crap and decided to move on.

I’m probably all alone, but I think Todd Andrews is all kinds of sexy.

Bree,

We all wish you godspeed, and good luck in finding a job you're happy with.

I wont argue about Mr. Andrews needing a haircut. But part of me wonders if he hasn't been using the "Just for Men" That is NOT a color found in nature.

Todd Andrews would be sexy if he got his hair cut and stopped wearing the Mr. Rogers Sweaters. Then he'd be an all day lollipop!

Speaking of sideburns...I happened to be watching FUX 42 news last nite... they have some new weasely looking reporter with one sideburn going down to his earlobe, and his other one is about two inches shorter. I bet they sleep and bathe at the station also....a-a-a-ackk

Uh...Bree:
No offense, but the KM producer quit because of "low moral"?

Maybe the moral of the story is don't put a 30 minute commercial full of marketing synergy on the air, call it news, and expect big ratings?

Low morale is nothing new for KM Third. I am curious in knowing who quit. They have a couple of 30-year women on staff who are the remnants of past glory. When they go, just put reruns in news' timeslot.

PS: According to the JBG website, the station is hiring staff for a new morning program. They can't do a decent newscast, but a local Regis and Kelly is right up their alley????

It was probably just me, but I thought Todd Andrews look extremely hot tonight.
