I have a request for WOWT. Next time they do a report on too many cats in a house...could they please not show a picture of a litter box with a fresh pile of cat poop?

DA/cat poop...dontcha know that is the kind of cutting-edge photojournalism that keeps the viewers on the edge of their seats and ensures that Big Six continues to rake the RTNDA Edward R. Murrow Awards?

They did it again this morning. A key popped up that said "TEASE FIVE". Jesus. They're HORRIBLE, and the others are just as bad. Certainly there are smaller markets than Omaha...how did Omaha become the training ground for the business? Or is EVERYONE in the business just getting worse at their jobs? Good God, when I was in COLLEGE we put together better stuff, and that was 20+ years back.

The "T" in WOWT must stand for "TEASE". Must be the summer help!

Omaha became a training ground exactly because of its size. It's not small enough to be a place for a first job in the industry and it's not big enough to be the last job for most people (the only ones who stay forever are those from the area or the chief meteorologists from elsewhere (Jim from Pennsylvania, Bill from Florida.) Otherwise, for most people, it's going from a town like Rock Spring Wyoming to a city like Omaha or Wichita or Des Moines to heading to a major market like Chicago, Dallas, San Diego or etc.

Somewhere, somewhere, someone was going "Thank you Captain Obvious!"

What happened to WOWT tonight? (Monday, 6/1) Instead of running "I'm A Celebrity....Get Me Outta Here!" it was a rerun of the 6:00 news...

Yes!

You said it!

They TEASE you through any newscast to tune in to a later newscast for either more details on a story they are running, or else some can't-miss hot story.

Then the can't-miss story or details turns out to be a big let-down!

Other stations do it, but WOWT is the worst about it.
