"...and he promotes like hell"

You'd think the story was about someone who'd actually contributed something valuable to his business.

We're referring to Broadcasting and Cable's profile of Harry Pappas, whose company owns KPTM, KXVO, and 28 other "stations."

Our favorite line: "Pappas concluded independents needed 'The 4Ps': Quality programming, top-notch people, savvy promotion and strong transmitter power."

KPTM has been on the air for close to 20 years. When can we expect "The 4Ps" to make it to Omaha?

I have to disagree with you Ted, I think the 4 P's are in Omaha. Strong transmitter, check. Savvy promotion, check. Good people, check, Taylor Wilson is the best anchor/reporter in Omaha IMO. Does a good balanced job of reporting. Quality programming, check most of the time. They definitely gave viewers in rural areas and those without cable TV real programming choices. I will admit that FOX network has some clunkers, but House and Bones are two of the better shows on TV IMO.

42's news sucks. Then again, they all suck. Yay for us!

Leading to what is an obvious question.....

what, exactly, is it they suck upon?

Your Momma wears combat boots. That is more original than Melanie's comment. Come on Melanie, if you can't do better than that, you obviously suck worse than the news stations you complain about.
