Puzzle Half-Solved

An alert reader reminds us that one of the desk jockeys in the 1970s-vintage KETV promo is Omaha's first female anchor, Marcia Ladendorf, something we wouldn't have remembered if we'd had a hundred years to think about it. A very quick Google search turned up little recent info on her. Anyone know what became of Ms. Ladendorf?

She was on a show "Company of Animals" a few years back on a cable network. She looked a little different, short hairstyle, and older. It took a minute or so to recognize her. When the credits rolled, a different last name was used.
A check of IMDB shows Ladendorff as the spelling by the way. And shows her as a writer, but I saw her hosting segments. Hm-m-m.

I see the clip has already been deleted along with the Suzanne Deyo's disappearing act.

They had the videos removed?! Nice!

Thanks, KETV. You just completely burst my bubble of admiration for your news operation. In the past, I have praised your news product. Now, I feel betrayed by your paranoid reaction to something that shouldn't have been a big deal at all.

I guess the top dawgs, Joel Vilmenay and Rose Ann Shannon, 1) read this blog and 2) fear this blog. Otherwise, they wouldn't be concerned with a couple of videos on Youtube.

What losers! It certainly taints their image as a professional organization. Now, in my eyes, KETV is on the same level as those belly-to-the-ground-dwellers at WOWT. Micro-managed to death, over consulted by companies who don't know what the fuck is going on in the world or what the audience really wants. It's a crap shoot.

Too bad Channel 7 can't be so decisive when it comes to removing on-air offenders Farrah Fazal and Laura Liggett. Those two are far more harmful than two video clips on the internet.
