Nucking Futs

An alert reader reports that KMTV "sports director" Travis Justice has become obsessed with finding out who's writing this blog, reportedly to the point that he's using his time with Z-92's Todd 'n' Tyler to beg listeners for help in tracing Ted's emails. (Trav has corresponded with Ted on several occasions. Ted laughs at the thought that Trav considers Ted's work to be so powerful.)

And Trav isn't alone. We've gotten numerous reports over the past year of insane reactions to what we've written here. One weekend anchor gal is said to have spent part of a workday weeping uncontrollably over what we wrote about her. A female anchor/reporter at another station reportedly told co-workers that anyone she caught reading Omaha TV News wouldn't be her friend anymore. And then there are the suits. One allegedly forbade employees from reading us on station computers, but to no avail. Another, we're told, exhorted colleagues not to read it because it would just upset them.

This just goes to show that it's a lot easier to worry about what's being said in a blog than it is to focus on doing your job better or putting together a more credible newscast. Sad.

And, by the way, is Trav gaining weight? He seems a little puffier than usual. Maybe the receding hairline is just creating an optical illusion.

I just had, like, a majorly amazing thought-- so bear with me, these come infrequently. What if you, Ted, aren't really a Ted at all! I know, its crazy, but get this: What if Ted is really, like, um, a ghost. Like he doesn't exist. Like Bruce Willis-opposite-the-creepy-Osment-kid kind of "doesn't exist." Today, was afterall "Fake Writer Day."

Wait a minute, did I just blow someone's mind? Shazam.

I saw Trav at a Creighton Women's B-Ball game last night and commented to the wife that he looks as if he has ballooned!

Travis Justice is a schmuck. Do I need to go into any more? What an original TV personality, taking the conservative view.

The yellow belly jerkstore then goes on Todd and Taylor, err...Tyler. Those guys need to stop inhaling glue.

Travis stop telling me what you think, I never asked - of course your audience is nothing but blue hairs.

I thought at one time, Trav had something on the General to keep him there. Now the General is gone so he has something on Journal?

What a waste of air time.

Even more nucking futs is that Trav whined on the T&T show that anonymous blogging should be illegal.

One would think that, as an alleged "journalist," Trav would know a thing or two about that pesky First Amendment.

The ironic thing about Trav's whining that he can't defend himself is that this is precisely what he is doing on the #1 radio program in the city.

Thank god for Sirius radio. Now I can leave the god awful local radio scene behind for good. Howard Stern and company were 110% more entertaining doing an impromptu live rehearsal last week than anything I've heard Todd and Tyler do over the last two years. Goodbye radio morning morons, hello quality! And no, I don't mind paying the monthly fee, either.

This proves that Travis is such an insecure, emotional little boy. Now he's trying to bully his way into ruining our entertainment? He's acting like a kid during recess- "Who stole my He-Man? How can I be T-T-Trav without my He-Man?" Just do what everyone has been asking- GET OUTTA TV.

Speaking of torture, anyone catch Fox42's David DeJohn last night at a train wreck? Did you notice the irony with how his liveshots tend to become a train wreck? Another one that should be escourted out the business.

How hypocritical of ol' Trav to state that he thinks anonymous blogging should be illegal. He and his butt-buddies trash everything about Omaha and the Nebrasksa football team on the radio then file restraining orders against people who dare to challenge them about their comments. It's easy to be mouthy when you don't have to back anything up with facts, right Trav? Why don't hire a private dick to find out who is behind this blog? Sorry.

Sub-Point!

If Mr. Justic (is than an ironic name?) is so disgruntled with this particular web-site, why does it seem like he is CONTANTLY directing traffic here?

BAM! Take that TJ, I just NAILED you.

Maybe Travis Justice IS Ted Brockman? Maybe he's just trying to pump up ratings for all of his endeavours! Man, the smart ideas that flow off of my keyboard.
Oh, and Rick, I couldn't help by write after reading your comment:
Justice got served!
Although I would caution against saying you "nailed" anyone, especially if you don't know them personally. You should at least offer to buy them a drink before uttering that phrase.

Hush, you just blew my mind.

I notice how everyone's been commenting on Trav's insecurities (really, he is kinda a joke), but what about the anchor apparently stuck in jr high b/c she's not friends w/ anyone who reads this?! Sad, truly. Keep up the entertaining work, b/c it's SO much fun to pick apart the local "talent".

Isn't time Trav grows a sack and stops whining? Gee, Trav, your job puts you in the public eye so expect a little feedback and, no, it's not all gonna be nice. If you can't take the heat get outta the kitchen... PLEASE!

Trav probably is putting on a little weight. He hangs out more and more with TnT and does his radio show. There is always food lurking about up there. When he does not have anything to fill with he is most likey filling his face.

All I can say Ted is keep up the good work! I just got this visual of Suzanne Deyo bawling her eyes out at her desk in the Newsplex and there's like 2 or 300 snotted up wads of kleenex covering her desk, and cursing Ted Brockman.

It would be nice if this blog had constructive idea's on how to improve the local TV news instead of Junior High Locker Room comments
