Rumor Mill: Jonesin' for a Gig at 42?

An alert reader and tipster reports that former WOWT morning anchor Trey Jones is in the running for the weekend spot that became available when the station fired Dave Hansen. Putting Jones alongside the impeccable Amanda Mueller could conceivably create Omaha's most watchable weekend anchor team. Jones left Channel 6 in May, citing the toll the early shift hours were taking on his family life.

Um, since this is Fox, Fair, Balanced, First; would Trey sit on the right or the extreme right?

Since nobody else has anything:

A guy with the name of Trey should be a poker player, maybe sitting at the featured table at the World Series of Poker playing Texas Hold-em. And shouldn't there be a guy named Ace and guy named Deuce be at that table as well? Maybe Ace Frehley and Deuce McAllister could fit the bill (gratuitous rock and football references!). And then Norman Chad could be the commentator. He could be uttering his normal inanities like, "He's not my favorite tv Trey." or "That haircut and $3 will get you a double soy latte." or "Here comes the flop, hey just like Trey's career." This would be so much more compelling than a 42 snooze-cast.

He also sent a tape to 7. No way they would ever hire him.
