And Such a Little Pisher

Poor Tyson Pearsall. First, he must've lost a bet—how else does a guy end up as Chief Meteorologist at KPTM? Then they go and put a picture of him on the station website that makes him look like a 13-year-old Irving R. Levine, all dressed up for a visit to his Aunt Doris' house in Queens. Oy.

EDITOR'S NOTE: The reference to Irving R. Levine has been removed in response to complaints from readers suggesting that Pearsall is hardly comparable to NBC's esteemed former longtime economics correspondent.

After watching him for the first time, I thought, he was kinda young looking.

Maybe its just a summer internship while he finishes up his college applications.

Riiight, because how young a person looks gauges how qualified they are...

He doesn't look *that* young.

And hey! Let's not knock the esteemed Mr. Levene. You gotta love a guy who actually says his middle initial out loud. I've never known anyone who did that.

For some reason I want to tell him to "super-size it" every time I look at that picture. But hey, he's in "the biz" now and working for KPTM can't hurt a career. Why, just look what it did for Travis Justice. Wait, bad example. And thaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat's for what it's worth.

nice post bandit75. couldnt agree more. and i would also like to say that you may be qualified in the way that you have a meteorology degree, but theres just something about being a "chief meteorologist" in a pretty decent sized city like omaha makes me feel like we should be listening to someone with a little more obvious background. but then again, i'm trying to break into it the same way, so who am i to talk right?

I know Irving R. Levine. Irving is a friend of mine, and Tyson is NO Irving R. Levine.

Irving has some charm, a gentle smile and a huge, expansive resource of very dry wit AND intelligence upon which to draw.

So let's not slander Irving, in the future, please?

I'm wondering why no female chief meteorologists around here. Nothing against Tyson - he's a good guy and looks older in person!
