Gannett May Soon Be Channel 3's New Owner

That's according to Gannett CEO Douglas McCorkindale, who, according to Bloomberg, says his company is interested in purchasing 16 television stations owned by Emmis Communications, of which KMTV is one.

"If it makes sense economically, then we will do it," he is quoted as saying at a conference in New York.

Gannett already owns 21 stations and over 100 NEWSpapers. We can't help but think this would be a good thing, both for KM3 and for Omaha TV.
