Fresh Air

Now this is a step in the right direction: In light of the opening day of the College World Series, Channel 6 is set to deliver its entire 6 p.m. newscast from Rosenblatt Stadium.

An anchor reporting, remote broadcasts. Is the giant finally emerging from its coma?

Channel 7 did the whole newscast LIVE at Rosenblatt on their 11:30 show today... looked really good! John Oakey did a great job and even did a package!!! Guess Tracy's not the only one that can hold down MULTIPLE jobs in the newsroom... in fact... Channel 7 was live all morning at CWS... but for some reason had soem technical problems in the cut-ins... with Andrea at Rosenblatt... John had to do weather... now that's one man banding it!

Didn't mean to slight 7's effort. Just didn't catch their promos I guess. My main point was to note that 6 was doing something different, which itself is news.

Hey oma news crew...Word floating around town about the May book coming in. You might want to check into it. If rumors are anywhere close to true I think you will be very disappointed.

Back when 42 had a morning show, they broadcast live from Rosenblatt for about a week, so it isn't like this is a new thing. They had to do it for 3.5 hours though, and sitting in the dark outside the Blatt isn't that exciting.
